How to do wiring and setup for your remote-control version Racer, Micro Eagle and Micro Swift 3?

Wiring Diagram:

Set-up:

  1. Solder your RunCam Racer/Micro Eagle/Micro Swift 3 to one of the Uart ports on your Flight Controller as showed in above diagram. Firmware version should be:

                BetaFlight(≥3.4)

                CleanFlight(≥2.2)

                iNav(≥1.8)

                ButterFlight(≥3.4)

  1. Make your Flight Controller recognize RunCam Racer/Micro Eagle/Micro Swift 3.

For example: Solder your RunCam Racer/Micro Eagle/Micro Swift 3 to UART3 on your Flight Controller and connect your Flight Controller to computer.  Then open the Configurator interface in the firmware (ex:BetaFlight Configurator is applied to BetaFlight). In the row UART3 and line Peripherals, please choose RunCam Device and then click Save and Reboot, as showed in below table:

Choose the correct receiver and turn on Rx-UART2 on the Ports interface, as showed below:

Remote control

*When connected, the buzzer on Flight Controller will beep for 3 times; When disconnected, the buzzer on Flight Controller will beep for 2 times only.

I still can’t access the camera’s OSD menu via my video feed. I’ve got my cam wired to cam in, 5v and ground. The tx and rx are soldered to my uart5 (tx to rx5 & rx to tx5) My receiver and my vtx are connected and both are working fine. I can’t think of what could be the issue, please help!
