If I hold the start button, the RunCam2 will start with a blue light but will automatically turn off after a few seconds. Why?

Please try to connect the camera to the monitor via the video cable to see what's on the interface of the monitor. And then please contact us with the picture of the result by email run@runcam.com or Submit a request.

I'm having the same issue. It started acting up after I replaced a damaged lens module. The unit powers up for a few seconds and then automatically shuts down. No difference regardless of whether it's being powered by battery or by USB power. Please help!

Recently my camera will only turn on if plugged into usb /fpv for power. Battery is doing nothing. As soon as I kill power to quadcopter which feeds power to USB, camera dies. I can hold the power button for a minute, and it still won't power on. If I power the USB, I can turn the camera on again.

5 months..... that's how long ago I waited for this answer?!?! I bet it will be another 5 months before this gets a response. I found the best option is to cut your loss, throw out the runcam, and buy Mobius. That's what I did. Mobius is stupid easy, and has survived way more quad vs tree crashes than anyone could expect. ONLY downside is you should not use Mobius for FPV due to video lag to goggles.
